OWLS: Opportunities with Literacy and Speech

Starting October 3rd!

Preschool 0-6 

For our youngest members with Down syndrome who haven’t started school. Join us Thursdays 3-4 p.m. for beginner literacy activities. We will also explore music and movement, fostering physical literacy development. 

School Age 5-18

For our school age students with Down syndrome who could benefit from extra instruction and support with literacy activities in a fun environment. Resources and support for learners and caregivers will be available. Register for one hour either 4-5 or 5-6 p.m.

Literacy for Life 18+

For adults of any age and teens exiting high school with Down syndrome. This 6-7 p.m. group focuses on literacy skills  for success in the community. Students will explore necessary concepts like time, money, reading and conversation skills. 

FALL 2024 REGISTRATION CLOSED 

This 11 week literacy program is free for our members. Please note that space is limited. Regular attendance and a commitment to attend the entire session is required.
