There are many characteristics commonly associated with Down syndrome. There are also health issues that are related to those characteristics.
Not all people with Down syndrome will possess them all, and not all will be affected to the same degree. It is important to be involved with a team of medical professionals to help manage health concerns throughout the life of a person with Down syndrome.
